Start prompts with the desired result, not steps
Describe the outcome you want first, then add details only if they change the answer.
Start with the result, not a detailed list of steps.
This helps the AI focus on the final output. Include the audience or format when those details change what ChatGPT should produce. Describe a process when the process itself matters. Otherwise, leave ChatGPT room to search, compare information, and adjust its approach.
Instead of listing steps to write a blog post, start by saying 'Write a blog post about X for audience Y in Z format.'
When crafting a prompt, begin by clearly stating the desired outcome or result. Only add specific details, audience information, or process descriptions if they are crucial for shaping the final output.
Focusing on the end goal allows the AI more flexibility to determine the best path to achieve it. This approach is more efficient than prescribing a rigid set of instructions.
